Mark worked with the Homeowner’s Association and property manager, CWD Group, on renovations to the common areas of the Continental House Condominium, a 1976-built 6-story building on the south slope of Queen Anne in Seattle. Few improvements had been undertaken in the previous 25 years, so during the renovation the team addressed data/electrical, security and aesthetic improvements to the concrete frame building.
The work was divided into 2 phases: the first to address the common hallways on resident floors, and the latter to renovate the entry lobby and mail room. The durable material palette incorporated an eclectic mix of new and found items, including lamps and mirrors from building’s previous residents, upgraded USPS mail and package lockers, lighting from Rich Brilliant Willing, and a 2-story wood fin wall that frames a digital resident directory.
