This project upgraded Vaupell Industrial Plastics’ 80,000 square foot facility in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. The initial scope included a seven phase master plan of facility improvements ranging from office renovations and relocations to process flow improvements to the construction of a new lobby and arrival point for the company.
To-date, roughly three of the master-plan phases have been completed, including a renovated loading dock, workplace renovations for executive offices, and construction of the new lobby. In addition, we worked with ImpactWashington to analyze Vaupell’s lean manufacturing processes – from raw material receiving to parts production, to parts storage, to parts assembly and finally to shipping. Work completed while Mark was a founding principal at Urbanadd.
